12. Friends

The man of many friends [a friend of all the world] will prove himself a bad friend, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18: 24

Make no friendships with a man given to anger, and with a wrathful man do not associate. Proverbs 22: 24

He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats or harps on a matter separates even close friends. Proverbs 17: 9

Proverbs 27:6 (American Standard
"Friends mean well, even when they hurt you.  But when an enemy puts his arm around your shoulder, watch out!"

Proverbs 27:6 (New Living Translation)

6 Wounds from a sincere friend
are better than many kisses from an enemy.

I can honestly say that your Daddy, Joseph Lee Rountree, is my very best friend.

There's a great confidence I have in him, as a friend and as a mentor.  He is my greatest support in life, but there's many times, I feel like he's my greatest

To have a good friend, you have to BE a good friend.

I pray you are even closer to your friends in adulthood than I.

Remember to listen to their needs and be there to help them. Friends appreciate eachother, they value each-other.

If you find yourself having a hard time with a friend, just sit back and see if it seems your having a hard time, because she's challenging you, encouraging you to be a better person and challenging your expectations.

Love you Darling!
